Comfortable sleep with breathable materials – the perfect bed climate
Our bedding made from organic cotton or hemp is breathable and allows air to circulate freely. In summer, bedding made from natural materials provides pleasant coolness by dissipating excess heat. At the same time, moisture is transported away from your body – and even if you sweat during the night, the bedding stays dry and comfortable. In winter, on the other hand, natural bedding keeps you warm by retaining your body heat.
Wake up without odors – with natural bedding
Some of our natural materials – such as hemp – have a special superpower: they neutralize odors. This means your bedding stays fresher for longer. The result? A long-lasting, pleasant, and healthy sleeping experience.
Natural bedding: a suitable solution for allergies and sensitive skin
Our bedding made from organic cotton and hemp is more than just cozy: it is also gentle on sensitive skin and perfect for people with allergies. Our natural materials ensure that you fall asleep well and wake up refreshed, even if you suffer from allergies or sensitive skin.
Cozy bedding with a feel-good texture in natural colors
Natural materials not only feel good, but also make your bedroom look more appealing. Natural color tones create a pleasant atmosphere and offer many combination options. Whether you prefer thicker or thinner fabrics – we offer a wide selection for you. With proper care, our bedding stays beautiful for a long time and can handle not only every wash but also a small pillow fight without problems.
FAQ dormiente Home Collection and Natural Bedding
Bedding is what we snuggle into every evening when everything else is done. And that is exactly why you want to think carefully about what you sleep in night after night. Because there are quite a few questions when it comes to natural bedding, you will find all the important answers about sleeping in natural materials and our Home Collection bedding in this FAQ section.
What exactly is Home Collection natural bedding?
Natural bedding – i.e. bed linen for pillows and duvets, fitted sheets, or mattress protectors – is made from natural fibers such as organic cotton, hemp, or bamboo. They contain no synthetic additives, pesticides, or other chemical residues.
Which natural materials are used in dormiente Home Collection bedding?
🌿 Cotton (organic): Our cotton comes from controlled organic cultivation. This means it grows without chemical treatments such as pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, or genetically modified seeds. Instead, it gets sun, water, and time – just as nature intended. The result is a high-quality, skin-friendly fiber.
🌿 Hemp: Hemp is a true natural talent – robust, undemanding, and extremely sustainable. It grows incredibly fast (like the Usain Bolt of plants), requires very little water, and needs no pesticides. The fibers are not only strong and durable but also have antibacterial properties.
🌿 Bamboo: Bamboo fibers feel soft, are breathable, and absorb moisture well. They also have antibacterial properties and remain odor-neutral for a long time. This makes them perfect for people with sensitive skin and a delicate sense of smell.
Why are more and more people choosing natural bedding?
Natural bedding keeps you warm when it is cold – and pleasantly cool when it is hot. The natural materials allow air circulation, do not trap heat, and always feel comfortable. They hardly absorb odors. Moisture is quickly released, so mold cannot develop. Home Collection natural bedding can be washed regularly in the machine without any issues. Even at 60°C, they keep their shape and feel just as good afterward as before.
How do natural bedding products help against dust mites and mold?
Dust mites and mold prefer warm, humid, and stuffy environments. That is exactly what does not happen with natural bedding. Cotton, hemp, or bamboo absorb moisture, release it again, and allow air to circulate through the bed. These unwanted guests do not find a comfortable environment here – and stay away. Hemp and bamboo additionally have a kind of built-in defense mechanism: natural properties that prevent bacteria, fungi, and similar organisms from settling.
Can natural bedding also help with allergies or sensitive skin?
Yes, absolutely. Untreated and certified natural fibers do not irritate the skin and contain no residues such as formaldehyde, optical brighteners, or plasticizers. This makes a real difference, especially for sensitive skin. For people with dust allergies, natural bedding is particularly recommended because it effectively reduces mite allergens and can be washed regularly at 60°C.
How do I properly care for Home Collection natural bedding?
Very simple: just put it in the washing machine at 60°C. Our bedding made from organic cotton, hemp, or bamboo easily withstands this. This is a real advantage in everyday life, especially when things need to be quick. Whether mites, allergens, or just the traces of a sweaty night: at 60°C everything becomes hygienically clean without chemicals.
A normal wash cycle with a mild, eco-friendly detergent is completely sufficient. Ideally without enzymes, fragrances, or fabric softeners – these are not good for plant fibers and may irritate the skin. You also do not need fabric softener. Our Home Collection natural fibers are naturally soft and do not require additives.
How long does Home Collection bedding made from natural materials last?
With a little care, bedding made from organic cotton, hemp, or bamboo can last up to ten years. The natural fibers are robust, tear-resistant, and can withstand a lot – even if the bed occasionally turns into a trampoline. Unlike synthetic fibers, which quickly break, pill, or become statically charged, natural fibers maintain their quality. Over time, they often even become softer 😉.
Why is Home Collection natural bedding especially suitable for children?
Because children spend a lot of time in bed – and only safe materials should be used in a child’s bed. Natural bedding made from organic cotton, hemp, or bamboo is free from harmful substances, breathable, and skin-friendly. It is especially soft and gentle on sensitive children’s skin, even in cases of neurodermatitis. It also helps regulate temperature if your child sweats heavily at night and has antibacterial properties.
How often should you change bedding made from natural materials?
Every one to two weeks is ideal. Especially in summer, with allergies, or if you sweat a lot during sleep, this frequency makes sense. For children, sensitive skin, or skin conditions, more frequent changes of bedding and covers may be advisable.
Is natural bedding suitable for summer and winter?
Yes, natural materials are suitable for all seasons. Hemp, organic cotton, and bamboo are breathable and temperature-regulating. In summer, they wick heat and moisture away from the body; in winter, they provide warmth. This means: whatever the season, sleeping comfort is always just right.
What is the difference between molton and a fitted sheet?
The fitted sheet goes directly onto the mattress. A molton (an absorbent protective layer for the mattress) is placed in between. It protects the mattress from moisture, mites, and stains. Our molton is made of pure organic cotton and is washable up to 95°C.
Why do new natural textiles sometimes smell slightly “earthy”?
A slight earthy smell is completely normal for new bedding made from natural materials. It comes from the untreated fibers. This natural scent disappears completely after the first wash. Our natural textiles are not chemically perfumed or treated during production, but remain as original as the material itself. So if reviews mention an “earthy smell,” that is actually a good sign.
In which colors are dormiente natural bedding products available?
The dormiente bedding range is available in natural, subtle color tones. These colors support the idea of a calm and healthy sleeping environment. Instead of bright trend colors, we focus on warm earthy tones, soft natural shades, and timeless classics that fit into any bedroom. This also allows children to use their bedding longer, as there are no printed designs that may eventually become “uncool” 😉.
What sizes are dormiente Home Collection bedding available in?
